This TwinAir MultiAir unit sits on the cylinder head of the 0.9 TwinAir two-cylinder petrol engine, turbo and non-turbo, including the Natural Power (CNG) versions. It controls the intake valves electro-hydraulically, using engine oil pressure and one solenoid valve per cylinder to vary intake valve lift and timing. It is usually replaced because of rough running, misfires, loss of power, an engine warning light with MultiAir actuator fault codes, or an oil leak at the unit.
