This power steering high pressure hose carries pressurised fluid from the power steering pump to the steering rack on the Mazda CX-7 2.2 MZR-CD diesel (2009-2012). It is made of flexible hose sections with metal pipes and fittings. It is the pressure side of the system, not the low-pressure return hose. It is usually replaced when fluid leaks or sweats at the crimped joints, or when fluid loss makes the pump whine and the steering feel heavy. Refill with the correct fluid and bleed the system.
