The ERAD rear differential (rear reduction gearbox) is the mechanical part of the electric rear axle drive. It takes drive from the rear electric motor, reduces its speed and splits it between the rear wheels; the electric motor and inverter are not included. It is usually replaced because of a whine or howl from the rear under electric drive, bearing noise, a clunk, an oil leak or damaged gears. Fits Volvo XC60 from 2018, XC90 from 2016 and V90 from 2017, T8 Twin Engine / T8 Recharge (plug-in hybrid) only. It is not the conventional AWD rear differential of non-hybrid versions. The OEM number is 32324105, so compare it with the number on your old unit. Earlier numbers of the same part, 32240142 and 32249816, have been replaced by 32324105.
