This IVM module is the valvetrain assembly bolted on top of the cylinder head of the D4FE 1.6 CRDi diesel. It carries the camshafts and valve-operating parts. It is usually replaced after oil starvation, when the camshaft bearing surfaces are scored, or when a cracked housing leaks oil or a tapping noise comes from the top of the engine. It fits Hyundai Kona, Tucson, i30 and i40 and Kia Ceed, Optima, Sportage and Stonic from 2018 onwards, only with the D4FE 1.6 CRDi engine. OEM numbers: 244002U011 / 24400-2U011. When fitting it, set the valve timing with the locking tools. Compare the number on your old part.
