The gearbox internal shift control module bolts onto the top of the JR5 five-speed manual gearbox. It turns the movement of the gear cables into selecting and engaging the right shift fork, and it holds the detents and the interlock that stop two gears going in at once. It is usually replaced when gears are hard to select, the car jumps out of gear, the lever feels vague, or a gear won't go in even though the cables are fine. It fits the Renault Clio III, Clio IV, Clio V, Modus / Grand Modus, Twingo II, Kangoo II, Wind, Thalia / Symbol II 1.5 dCi, Symbol III, Fluence, Megane III, Captur I, Captur II, Express, Pulse and Scala, and the Dacia Logan I / Sandero I, Logan II / Sandero II, Logan III / Sandero III, Duster I, Duster II, Lodgy and Dokker, only with the JR5 gearbox.
