This steering column switch module sits on the column directly behind the steering wheel. It carries the lighting and indicator stalk and the wiper stalk, both with an AUTO position for automatic headlights and rain-sensing wipers. It also contains the steering angle sensor and the clock spring (rotary coil), which connects the airbag, horn and steering wheel buttons while the wheel turns. It is usually replaced when the indicators stop working or no longer cancel, when the lights or wipers do not respond to the stalk, when steering angle faults appear, or when the clock spring fails: the airbag warning light comes on, or the horn and steering wheel buttons stop working. It fits the C4 Picasso II and Grand C4 Picasso II (B78) 2013-2018 and the C4 SpaceTourer / Grand C4 SpaceTourer from 2018. It only fits left-hand drive cars with keyless start, front fog lamps and the touchscreen. Cars with other equipment use different numbers, so a VIN check is worth doing. After fitting, the module has to be configured with a diagnostic tool. The OEM numbers are 98072635ZD and 98072635, so compare them with the number on your old part.
