This blind spot radar sensor (left) is the radar module that sits behind the left corner of the rear bumper. It watches the blind spot and the adjacent lane and lights the warning in the left door mirror when another vehicle is there. It is usually replaced when the blind spot alert shows as unavailable or brings up a service message, when the mirror warning stops working, or after a knock to the rear corner. It fits the Opel Insignia A facelift from model year 2014 up to 2017, and only cars fitted with side blind spot alert. If you are not sure about the equipment, check by VIN. It is not a parking sensor, and the right-hand module (42450157) is a different part. After fitting, the module normally has to be programmed with a diagnostic tool. The OEM number is 84007647, so compare it with the number on your old unit.
