This rear headlight levelling sensor is mounted between the rear body and a rear suspension arm via a lever and link rod. It tells the levelling module how far the rear sits down under load, so the headlights stay correctly aimed. Typical reasons to replace it: a levelling warning or fault code, lights aimed too high and dazzling others or too low, a broken lever or link rod, or a corroded sensor.
