This electronic thermostat, complete with its housing, fits the 1.6 diesel (D4FE) in the Hyundai i30, i40 (2018-2019), Kona, Tucson and Kia Ceed, Sportage, Stonic from 2018. It does not fit every version with this engine: the right number depends on gearbox and equipment, so check by VIN if in doubt. The engine ECU controls it: at part load it keeps the coolant hotter to cut friction and fuel use, under full load it opens further to cool the engine. Replace it if the engine warms up slowly or runs too cold, overheats, shows thermostat fault codes or leaks coolant at the housing. Refill and bleed the cooling system after fitting. OEM number 25690-2U000 (256902U000) – compare it with the number on the old part.
