This air intake pipe is the plastic duct on the inlet side of the air filter. It takes in outside air and guides it into the air filter housing. It is usually replaced when it is cracked or broken, when its mounting lugs have snapped, or when it no longer sits tightly after the filter box has been removed. Through a crack the filter can pull in hot, dirty engine-bay air or water spray. Fits Mitsubishi ASX 1.8 (2012–2015), ASX 2.2 (2013–2018) and Outlander 2.2 (2012–2018), with the 4N13 and 4N14 diesel engines only. The OEM number is 1505A602. Compare it with the number on your old pipe.
