This EGR valve is the electrically actuated valve for the 4N14 2.2 DI-D diesel. It meters how much exhaust gas goes back into the intake, which lowers combustion temperature and NOx. Over time soot builds up and the valve sticks open or closed. Typical signs are rough idle, loss of power or limp mode, black smoke and an engine warning light with an EGR fault code. It fits the Mitsubishi Outlander II 2.2 DI-D 177 PS (2010-2012) and the Outlander III 2.2 DI-D (2012-2014) with the 4N14 Euro 5 engine, but not the Outlander II 2.2 with 156 PS (PSA engine). It is the valve only, not the EGR cooler or pipe. When fitting, clean the soot from the mating ports. The OEM number is 1582A554, so compare it with the number on your old valve.
