This rocker cover with gasket closes off the top of the cylinder head on Mitsubishi 4N13 (1.8 DI-D) and 4N14 (2.2 DI-D) diesel engines. It covers the camshafts and valve train and keeps the oil inside. It is usually replaced because oil seeps along the cover edge, oil collects around the injectors, or the cover has cracked or warped. It fits the ASX 1.8 and 2.2 (2010-2017), Lancer 1.8 (2010-2012) and Outlander 2.2 and 2.3 (2010-2017), diesel only. Petrol engines of similar size use a different cover. The cover is made in Japan and comes with its gasket. Clean the sealing face on the head and tighten the bolts evenly to the specified torque. The OEM number is 1035A907, so compare it with the number on the old cover.
