This turbocharger electronic actuator is mounted on the turbo of the 1.0 TCe (H4D) petrol engine. It is an electric motor with a position sensor. On commands from the engine ECU it opens and closes the turbo's wastegate flap through a linkage rod, which is how boost pressure is controlled. A failing turbo actuator usually causes the engine warning light to come on with boost or actuator position fault codes. It also tends to bring a loss of pulling power or limp mode, and sometimes a metallic rattle from the turbo area. It fits the 1.0 TCe in the Renault Clio V and Captur II (2019-2025), Twingo III, Kiger and Triber. On the Dacia side it fits the Sandero/Logan II, Sandero/Logan III (2020-), Duster II (2019-2024), Duster III (2024-) and Bigster (2025-). Renault lists it only for certain H4D engine versions and gearboxes, so a VIN check is worthwhile. After fitting, the actuator normally needs a learning procedure with a diagnostic tool.
