This injector driver control unit (EDU) raises the supply voltage and sends the current pulses that open the common-rail injectors on Toyota D-4D diesels. The engine ECU decides the timing, and the EDU does the switching. It is usually replaced when the engine cranks but will not start, cuts out while driving or runs rough on all cylinders, often with injector circuit fault codes. Fits Auris, Avensis, Corolla, RAV4 and Verso 2.0/2.2 D, Hiace 3.0 D, Hilux 2.5/3.0 D and Land Cruiser Prado 3.0 D with 1AD-FTV, 2AD-FTV, 2AD-FHV, 1KD-FTV or 2KD-FTV engines. Made in Japan.
